VW Osbourne Park just S&^t me off

I had my doubts about the oil and oil filter being changed last service ( 2 year 30000km ) so decided to put a rub mark on the filter this time and surprise, surprise the filter hasn't been changed ( oil is clean though ).

Gave me some crap about its not required at an intermediate service and its a fixed price service anyway but the point is they are happy to put stuff on the invoice they have clearly not done and keep a straight face about it.

I couldn't be bothered arguing and made it quite clear they will never again see the GTI.

Anyway on to the point of the thread. Since it was the last service it will be getting under warranty who to take it to next in Perth.

Pretty sure it was Golfwagen and Quattro Motors where the ones to see when I was last snooping around here. I'm inner northern suburbs but don't mind a bit of a drive as long as what should be done, what I ask to get done and what I get charged to be done all add up to the same thing. Don't even give a dam about putting up with a temperamental bastard of a mechanic. Usually find they do the best job!!!

I'm SOR, I trust Quattro Motors to service my TDI. I have no reason to doubt them if they say they've replaced a filter. Had my 60k service done there 25/01/2013.

Golfwagen are now known as Elite Euro, still in the same place though.

Cheers guys. I'll probably give Elite Euro a go cos its easy to get a bus home from there. I really never wanted to do the dealer servicing anyway but thought it the better option to have it on their record just in case the DSG ever gave any problems. A lot harder for them to argue when they have serviced the car during warranty.

+1 for Euro Elite, just had my Scirocco R 15k serviced there.

They have loan cars which they didn't even bother to charge me for (just top up fuel that you use). I used to take my old Polo GTI there too, they're a good knowledgeable bunch!

    Hi.
If you come in to Elite Euro just mention that vwwatercooled guys referred you there. They (Phillip & Joe) have a pretty flat view of "the forums", mainly because lots of people come in claiming all sorts of nonsense that they read from self proclaimed experts - usually from another forum i wont mention...
Also be sure to tell them about your experience with VWOP and take in the receipt if you have it. We'll check to see if they conveniently forgot to do any other work they charged you for!

Also, the loan cars are now $25 for the day. Just to cover any insurance/damage/fuel (lots of people just dont refill them, and one lady had a minor bingle and refused to pay for the damage!).

    Cheers,
    Wade

vw servicing sucks. A lot of the sydney Volkswagens specialists are crooks too. You just have to find a mechanic who you know and trust.
